Good set up and what I was going for. The drawback is you had better have a good supply of barrels as they will not hold up through to many burns at that temp. I also disagree with the guy on the emissions. Just because you cannot see them it does not mean they are not there, although they are reduced because of a more complete burn.
I have a home foundry so am familiar with the high heat. If you want to build something like this it needs to be lined with refractory.
