4H Achievement Day

Postby randiliana » Fri Jun 15, 2012 10:22 am

Our kids had a good Achievement Day. Son won Reserve Champion with his steer, and a 3rd in Grooming and 4th in Showmanship. Daughter got 2nd in Grooming, and 3rd with her Cow/Calf and in Showmanship.

3rd Place Cow/Calf (out of 4) This is her last year using this cow. She has done quite well with her cow, considering she was just a twin bottle calf!

Very Good!
Thats a nice looking cow, and the steer is Grade A!

Congratulations to both! I enjoyed seeing how the exhibitors dress where you live. They look very professional and neat.

Agreed, about the dress. They look very sharp. We see a few kids here at far in hot competition with "hot cattle" in t-shirts and butt-ravelled jeans.

Thanks again, everyone! The dress does look awesome, but just imagine a bunch of KIDS dressed in white around CATTLE, no less. Such a pain in the butt!! Our regional fair is the July long weekend, we will see how they do there!
